In 1988 he formed his own production company, Western Branch Productions, where he continued to produce commercials for TV as well as theatrical and corporate films. However, the period was highlighted by his venture into the digital world of VFX and CG Animation when he produced the live action and visual effects elements for a CD ROM game titled  “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy“, starring William Shatner, George Takai, and Walter Koenig in their original roles of Kirk, Sulu, and Chekov.

Prior to the formation of Western Branch Productions, Peter was Executive Producer for a number of leading TV commercial production companies, including Dove Films, which was then partnered by the renowned director and DP, Haskell Wexler.

Since his retirement, Peter has produced a series of documentaries for the “Motor Press Guild” which have been shown at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. This has been in addition to his personal documentary, “For the Life of Me”. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America, having worked for many years as a Producer, First Assistant Director, and Unit Production Manager.
