On the left is Willie Weinlaub, Kurt's older brother. Kurt is on the right. Willie, the eldest, was being groomed to take over their father's manufacturing business.

Lily circa 1913. She was born in Essen, Germany Nov. 27, 1905. Her family moved to Hannover, when she was four.

1923: Lily and her cousin, Bari Baruch standing on the wall with a group of friends, in front of the fishing pier at Arendsee. At the time, Lily was going to school in Berlin while living with the Baruchs. Bari was gay, and always a safe escort.
